Three square painted panels are mounted in a row within a rustic, tray‑like shadow box frame. Each end panel centers on a single owl eye, while the middle panel depicts a small human figure in a distant urban landscape. Thick layers of encaustic and mixed media are applied to glass, creating softened edges and hazy transitions. The owl eyes mirror each other, with large black pupils positioned toward the outer edges. Rings of amber, orange, and yellow radiate from each pupil into pale white clouds tinted with lilac, pink, and grey. Dark, curved forms rise from metallic gold and blue bands along the bottom. The middle panel continues these colors into hills, skyline, and sky, unifying the triptych. The frame is painted brown with metallic copper and gold washes.

Artist Statement

As a self-taught artist, I let my creativity flow, trying not to have any preconceived ideas about the end result. This allows the details of my artwork to be raw and unfiltered.

Growing up in Long Island, New York, I am inspired by essence of the ocean. Moving to other places, like Ohio, my artwork takes a journey exploring landscapes and nature in a variety of elements. From the darkness in the shadows to the highlights in natural light elements, each stroke of color leads me towards unforeseen destinations. Art is my refuge where I can embrace spontaneity yet capture my sense of discovery and vitality.

I aspire for others to experience similar feelings, immersing themselves in the depicted settings of each artwork.
