Artists of any age, who are residents of Ohio and have a disability are eligible to apply. As defined by the ADA, a disability is a physical or mental impairment that substantially limits a major life activity. You do not have to disclose the actual disability.
Submissions must be original artwork, completed within the last 2 years. Artists may submit one (1) or two (2) entries. All artwork must have a visual component, but can be 2D, 3D, and/or wearable.
Entries are reviewed by a panel of practicing artists, educators, and arts administrators who determine standards, originality, and diversity. The team chooses which works will be in the exhibition and which will receive awards. All decisions are final.
We will post your work to our virtual exhibition through Facebook and Instagram. If your artwork is for sale it will be featured on our Square store. We will also send you a certificate of participation. Accessible Expressions Ohio also has awards available that will be chosen by the exhibition judges: Best in Show; 1st place - 3rd place in each of the three categories; and the Current Events Special Award.

Photographing Your Artwork for Exhibits
This workshop outlines a few simple, but fundamental rules that all artists should know when documenting their work for professional, personal, or social purposes. We will look at a few of the challenges that come up when translating a physical object (your art) into a digital object (your art as an electronic file) so that it can be easily shared with others for entry into exhibitions and online platforms. The workshop will also provide a variety of recommendations for digital tools, alternative to expensive professional equipment, in order to make the process of documenting more fun and accessible.
