This spring we are welcoming intern Sona Santry to the Art Possible Ohio team. She has been researching and writing about artists and advocates with disabilities so that we can share their stories and experiences more broadly. We tend to teach and talk about the same artists in our museums and classrooms. What if instead of focusing on the same few artists we took an anti-ableist, anti-racist approach? Sona is here to help us out by highlighting artists and advocates doing that work.

Sona Santry is currently a senior at Columbus Academy in Gahanna, Ohio. From a young age, she has loved to pursue art in as many ways as possible. From painting to photography, you can always find her spending her free time being creative. However, her most recent and favorite artistic pursuit is ceramics and sculpture. Sona also loves to spend time with her family and friends, especially her two dogs, Asha and Mimi. She is excited to be working with Art Possible Ohio and help improve accessibility and inclusivity in the creative community.
